Winter Wonderland - Free Wallpaper Download

To welcome the New Year, I’m sharing two of my favorite winter photographs as free desktop wallpapers. This is my small way of saying thank you for your continued support. I hope they invite a moment of calm and let you take a quiet walk with me through a Catskills winter wonderland each time you turn on your computer.

About Winter Wonderland:

The beautiful soft light of sunrise envelops snow covered Spruce on the summit of Hunter Mountain. This was a tranquil Winter sunrise viewed from the fire tower and If it hadn’t been so cold I could have gazed at this scene for hours

We’d camped overnight a mile below the summit at the Devils Acre shelter. It had been cold but looking back I can’t believe how calm it was that morning and as I took a last look around before climbing down off the fire tower I was struck by this view. The Spruce were so motionless and looked just like the little trees you can put in dioramas alongside railway tracks or Victorian villages!
