I always find inversion fog irresistible and cannot tell you how many times I've traveled hopefully in the dark only to get to the viewpoint to see that the promise has failed to deliver. However some mornings take you completely by surprise and this was one of them. It was my first sunrise as viewed from the ledges on Round Mountain in the Southern Taconics, and whilst the larger vista didn't provide, the distant low lying inversions were just begging to be photographed.
An essential part of my kit is a 100mm-400mm zoom lens, and although it adds weight to my pack I rarely leave it at home. In order to capture this scene I've zoomed in to 390mm to compress the layers and isolate the open green field in the middle of the image. This view is looking east into Salisbury, CT just after sunrise.

Signature prints are made on acid free, archival matte paper with a soft, bright white base. Each Print is presented within a white border and signed in pencil on the base of the image. It is also supplied with a Certificate of Authenticity detailing the date of printing, date of shoot and image title.
Image sizes are approx. 4"x6" on 5x7 print / 6.5"x10" on 8.5x11 print / 8.5"x13" on 11x14 print / 11"x16.5" on 13x19 print.
