I named my blog Impressions because it’s a word that often comes up in how I think about my work. As an old-world immigrant exploring a new-world landscape, my photographs reflect my impressions of my new home - my way of making sense of my surroundings while also searching for familiar traces of the home I left behind.
This blog is more than just a blog. It’s a place where I share my impressions of the world through my camera. I hope you enjoy it.
Will the sky come alive tonight?
Sunsets are a great gift, but the best photographs rarely happen by accident. Clouds, atmosphere, wind, timing and location all play their part - the more you understand how these conditions interact, the better placed you will be to anticipate, then capture something truly special.
Put simply, arrive early, stay late and keep watching the sky for ever changing conditions.
