The Harlem Valley

The Harlem Valley Collection

Pawling sits right on the New York / Connecticut state line and in the past was a rural farming area serving the markets in NYC and beyond. Farming is less important now but the landscape still bears hints of it’s past. I’ve really enjoyed exploring the area, using the route 22 corridor as my starting point, from the end of I684 in Southeast, all the way north to Copake and Bash Bish Falls. It truly is a landscape of contrast so close to home.
