Blog: Impressions
Welcome to my Blog: Impressions
I named my blog Impressions because it’s a word that often comes up in how I think about my work. As an old-world immigrant exploring a new-world landscape, my photographs reflect my impressions of my new home - my way of making sense of my surroundings while also searching for familiar traces of the home I left behind.
This blog is more than just a blog. It’s a place where I share my impressions of the world through my camera. I hope you enjoy it.
Planning for Magic
From forecast to frame: A blog about the photo hike that delivered!
Last Winter, hiking and backpacking in the Catskills taught me so much about landscape photography as well as working more efficiently in the cold. So this year, I made myself a promise: stay flexible, be prepared to change plans and learn to work quicker… oh and I’ve also bought an inordinate amount of those little hand and toe warmers!!! Here’s a little behind the scenes of a recent adventure.

Ready to make this fall your most photogenic yet? Here’s your guide to capturing the season at its best.
